Conditions of use1. SERVICE and PRICE LISTPosting an advert or message to members of ManchesterK® sometimes costs & sometimes is free.Messages/adverts are distributed once via email, individually & on the equivalent digest. In addition they remain on this website for 6 months or until they are deleted by the author. Certain advert/message categories incur a charge (as we are a business); please refer to the table below for our current pricing structure. We reserve the right to reject any message or ask the poster to resubmit it using a different category. Our decision is final in this matter.
We reserve the right to vary these prices at any time. We also reserve the right to not refund payments for adverts when it is clear to us that our time has been wasted! 2. ANONYMOUS POSTINGS + EXCEPTIONSTo submit an anonymous message or advert please do the following:a) Submit a normal message or ad selecting the appropriate category, and add the words 'please make anonymous' at the bottom b) Submit another message using the 'Anonymous Posting' category where you will be asked to pay a small additional administration charge of just £20. c) We then remove both messages that you have submitted & replace them with a copy of your first message/ad sent from Anonymous Poster d) We give each of these ads a Reference number and ask people to quote this in their reply. e) We forward on each reply we receive to you, as quickly as we can. We will do our best to ensure that the message is distributed anonymously but we can't guarantee that this will occur and we cannot be held responsible if any errors are made. Any private car sale ads cannot be mixed in with 'Sale: Item(s) totalling over £100'. They need to be put in as a separate posting. People cannot put more than 2 separate 'Items for sale totalling under £50' ads on to the system in any 1 day. Email addresses cannot appear anywhere in the body of any messages or on any images submitted with the message/advert. All replies will automatically be directed to the registered email address of the person posting the advert or message. If an email address is found in a message then it will be erased. If people expect replies to a particular email address then they must post the message from that address & consequently register it if they haven't already done so. 3. PRIVACY POLICY3.1 We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). 3.2 We collect some personal information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and secondly, to provide you with the best possible service. 3.3 The type of information we will collect about you includes: * name 3.4 ManchesterK® does not store or retain your credit and/or debit card
information or any other personal financial information. The information
you provide is used only at the time of transaction for authorization
and payment and thereafter removed from our system. We use a Merchanting system (currently PayPal) to take secure payments via credit card, debit card or PayPal. In these cases your email address may be used to send you a receipt for your payment. 3.5 We will not email you in the future unless you have given us your
consent. We do however reserve the right to send you the odd email just to remind you that we are still there! 3.6 We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us or from another trader in the future. 3.7 We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. 3.8 The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by logging into your account and clicking on the "My Profile" link at the top right. If you find any inaccuracies you can correct it promptly. 3.9 The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. 3.10 If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first. 3.11 We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a 'cookie' which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings. 3.12 It is strictly forbidden for members of ManchesterK® to use ManchesterK® and the data contained therein, for the purposes of commercial gain, without the written permission of the owners of ManchesterK® neither are they allowed to pass such information on to any third party. If you have any questions/comments about privacy, you should contact us. 4. REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICYIf you are dissatisfied for any reason you may ask us to cancel your advert/message prior to our system distributing it to all the ManchesterK® members and request a refund. However the refund will be limited to no more than 75% of your payment as we incur additional charges for granting refunds.Once your message has been posted on the ManchesterK® website/or distributed to its members, cancellation and refund is no longer available.
